Polonium and Radium play by Robert Jarosz—written at the request of the Theatre—is a twist on the research of Maria Skłodowska-Curie. As an extra activity within the play, the Ateneum Theatre has prepared a special workshop called What element are you?

The Silesian Puppet and Actor Theatre Ateneum is one of the oldest puppet groups in Poland. Its repertoire—addressed primarily to children—includes plays by modern authors and classical fables and fairy tales and is enriched by plays addressed to adults.

Plays performed within various conventions and techniques use modern measures of puppet theatre as an art of an animated form. Since 2002, the Theatre has been organising the International Puppet Theatre Festival Katowice for Children.
